Industrial Arts
I graduated from Kingman High School in 1998
Went to Dodge City Community College from 98- 01, for a certificate in Equine Science and Gen Ed’s.
Achieved my Bachlor’s of Science in Industrial Arts Education from Fort Hays Univ. in 07
My degree is in Industrial Arts Education, but I was also certified to teach Vo. Ag.
I also have a certificate in Equine Science, Blacksmithing and Christian Ministry.
Certified to teach NCCER curriculum for students to be certified in Welding and Construction
Attended WSU training to be certified and employed through WSU Tech for Welding so that students can recieve concurrent credit with WSU Tech.
This is my sixth year with Renwick USD 267, teaching at Andale High School. My subjects include an Introduction class designed for 8th graders called Fundementals of Industrial Arts, a intro class for high schoolers called Introduction to Industrial Arts and Welding. My welding classes are with WSU Tech so students will gain concurrent credit, these classes are OSHA/Safety, GMAW and SMAW. I am also working with our Ag. Department this year by teaching the Plant and Soil Science class.
I started my carrer of working with youth by becoming the Vo. Ag Teacher and FFA Instructor for Kingman High School. There I taught 4 levels of metals, animal science, plant and soil science, intro. to ag, and ag. carrer development. After six years I quit to ranch and became the part time Youth Pastor for the Kingman Mennonite Church, teaching 30 students between both the Jr. and Sr. High.
I am married to my wife Jennifer. We have two girls, Amie, and Addison.
I love to spend time with my family, and I truly enjoy working cattle and riding pastures, on either my buckskin gelding Cowboy, or one of the horses I have in training.
